“Life skill is an art of living which helps us to draw a personal and professional sketch of life”.
A successful career without life skills is impossible as they go hand in hand. Everyone has abilities, but not everyone has all of them. It is said that everyone has a special talent at which they excel and because no one person can have all of the skills, there are some fundamental skills that everyone should have that will aid in the development of one’s personality and career. Communication, resilience, decision-making, cooperation, time management, acceptance and so on.
The ideal road of life is paved with the right ability and career direction, but it’s okay to be unsure. We won’t be able to cope with real success if we don’t have them. As previously said, life is full of highs and lows, and success and failure are no exception.
Parents instil skills in their children in a variety of ways, from teaching them to use a spoon to teaching them to walk while holding their hand. They strive to develop their child from infancy, by making them choose their choices, they teach them decision-making, and by making them learn words and speak, they teach them communication. Similarly, every adolescent requires encouragement because this is the time when they are being moulded into a profession and skill set. The right advice and decision make life and decision-making simpler. Because one careless blunder will cost you a lot in life.
I can relate to this because I missed a little support during my course days, which caused my career to suffer a penalty, which I believe I am still paying for. My errors, on the other hand, taught me a valuable lesson and gave me the strength and perseverance to keep trying until I succeed in life. A good piece of advice, or encouragement, is critical for a person to have no regrets in the future, whether in their career or in their life experiences.
We, as volunteers, will assist the children in growing and blooming like flowers.
“The rising sun still shines brighter than the darkest night.” We may assist them by allowing them to choose their choices, hearing their decisions or guiding them through the decision-making process, and encouraging them to lean toward the right and understand the wrong.
Yes, one learns only from their own experiences, but learning often comes from doing things with the aid of others. As volunteers, we should organise basic programmes for children in which they can learn all of the necessary skills and receive the necessary guidance to make them future ready.
